![]() It's another masterclass in forward thinking sonic arrangement, with our two additional highlights being the almost 80's thriller inspired synthetics of 'Valium Tempo', next to the more up-tempo dubwise chords and drum chops of 'Strange Brew'. ![]() Parisian DJ and producer Bambounou will debut on Whities later this month with a new EP. ![]() From the moment the introductory track 'Melted' is unsheathed, breathing blippy acidic energy into the tracklisting right from the jump, we know we are in for a good time, with the sound alternating drastically between the breathy drum bounces of 'Pursuit' and dubby delays of 'Liberation' to the more instrument driven backdrops of 'Electroacidspringwater' and moogy soundscaping of 'Springdub Meditation'. The London label taps the Parisian producer for its first release of the year. This project sees us dive into the second edition of the Acid Dub Studios collection, which again is jam-packed with futuristic synthesis and outside the box soundscaping beyond our wildest dreams. Review: The Om Unit sound has always been highly respected among UK soundsmiths, with the boat always being pushed out beyond the farthest known tide with every new collection. For us, the two standouts would have to include the pure nostalgia-inducing garage eruptions of Dubplate Pressure's 'Massive Dem', next to the super bubbly drum punches and emotive melodic inputs of Ease Up George's VIP mix of 'Less Heights'. The thing we have enjoyed about these projects from the GLBDOM team mostly is just how varied they can be, from the super skippy percussive clicks of L&F's 'Turming Tides' to the super minimal acidic arrangements of 'Stand Up' from Hartta. We see a bag of heavyweights involved from the jump, with the likes of Groovy D, Tuff Trax, DJ Crisps, Daffy, Longeez and more all arriving with stunning originals to enjoy. Review: What a fabulous collection we have here as GLBDOM return for another spicy collection, this time delivering the fourth and highly anticipated edition of their 'Spezial Series', bringing us a 14 track journey through future garage and tech, with a dash of breaksy goodness thrown into the pot for good measure.
